South Africa

Momentum Metropolitan Life Limited- Unaudited interim results for the six months ended 31 December 2022

  • Basic EPS grew by more than 100% to 171.3 cents per share.
  • Operating profit grew by more than 100% to R1 898 million.
  • Total equity grew by 14% to R25 825 million while assets grew by 1% to R596 308 million.
  • During the period the Group repurchased 45 million of its own shares for a total consideration of R750 million.
  • The Company declared an interim dividend of 50 cents per share and will be paid on Monday, 3 April 2023.

Royal Bafokeng Platinum Limited- Audited Annual Results for the Year Ended 31 December 2022 and Dividend Declaration

  • Revenue fell by 3.1% to R15 911.3 million.
  • EBITDA decreased 29.7% to R5 993.9 million.
  • Basic EPS fell by 50.9% to 1 146.3 cents per share.
  • 3.9% decrease in 4E ounces to 449koz.
  • 22.0% increase in cash cost per 4E ounce to R20 465.
  • The Board declared a gross cash final dividend of 535.0 cents per share which will be paid on Monday, 3 April 2023.

Renergen Limited- Phase 2 Guidance Note

  • The Phase 2 project will be a significantly larger plant than Phase 1, and Renergen aims to deliver estimated EBITDA of between R5.7bn and R6.2bn per annum once the plants are in full production.
  • The Phase 1 pilot plant produces a maximum of 2,700 gigajoules of LNG and around 350 kg of liquid helium per day, while Phase 2 is anticipated to produce approximately 34,400 gigajoules of LNG and around 4,200 kg of liquid helium per day in its first full financial year of production.
  • Renergen plans to reach financial close on several sources of funding, which may include an aggregate debt package of US$ 750 million, a 10% sale of Tetra4 Proprietary Limited to the Central Energy Fund for ZAR 1 billion, and a potential international IPO.

 

 

JSE Limited- Consolidated annual financial results and ordinary cash dividend declaration for the year ended 31 December 2022

  • Net profit after tax increased by 4% YoY to R749 million.
  • Headline earnings per share increased by 4% YoY to 917.7 cents per share.
  • Operating revenue grew 5% to R2.7 billion, with a 13% increase in non-trading revenue.
  • The Board has declared an ordinary dividend of 769 cents per share for 2022, an increase of 2% YoY.
  • The Group maintains a robust balance sheet and cash of R2.2 billion at 31 December 2022, with R1.2 billion as regulatory capital and investor protection.
  • The Board has declared an ordinary dividend of 769 cents per share which will be paid on Monday, 3 April 2023.

  • 8 out of the top 10 best selling smartphones around the world in 2022 were iPhones according to Counterpoint research.

Crowdstrike Earnings

  • EPS of $0.47 beating expectations of $0.43.
  • Revenue of $637.4M beating expectations of $625M.
