Across the board, 2022 has been a tough year for investors especially growth investors. Value investors have fared better with the Dow Jones being down -8.6% while the Nasdaq has plummeted by -32.9% and the Ark ETFs have performed even more dismally at -35% to -70%.

2023 might be another challenging year as the focus shifts from inflation to recession with interest rates continuing to rise. So, 2023, could be a year in which you learn more about value investing since value investing generally outperforms in tough times.
