  • The CEO of Discovery sold 335 000 shares for a total value of R41 887 467.

Nampak Limited- Results for the year ended 30 September 2022

  • Revenue grew by 21% to R16.9 billion.
  • Trading profit grew by 13% to R1.6 billion.
  • EPS fell 28% to a loss per share of 23.1 cents.
  • Cash generated from operations before working capital changes down 11% to R1.5 billion.

Oceana Group Limited- Results for the year ended 30 September 2022

  • Revenue increased 11% to R8 438 million.
  • Operating profit before other operating items increased 6% to R1 256 million.
  • EPS grew by increased 6% to 603.0 cents.
  • The Board declared a final dividend of 291 cents per share which will be paid on Tuesday, 27 December 2022.

Alexander Forbes Group Holdings Limited- Results for the six months ended 30 September 2022

  • Operating income from continuing operations fell by 8% to R1 686 million.
  • Profit from operations fell by 9% to R354 million.
  • HEPS from total operations grew by 11% to 14.1 cents.
  • The board has declared an interim gross cash dividend of 15 cents per share which will be paid on Monday 9 January 2023.

Vodacom Group Limited

  • The CEO of Vodafone, Nick Read, will step down on 31 December 2022.

Sygnia Limited- Results for the year ended 30 September 2022

  • Assets under management and administration fell by 3.8% to R285.1 billion.
  • Revenue grew by 9.7% to R808.9 million.
  • Profit after tax grew by 19.3% to R287.4 million.
  • HEPS grew by 12.1% to 191.3 cents per share.
  • The board declared a gross final dividend of 130 cents per share which will be paid on Tuesday, 27 December 2022.

  • Apple has accelerated plans to move some production out of China.
  • Apple has resumed full ad spending on Twitter according to Elon Musk.

Verizon

  • The CEO of Verizon said that phone sales could be hampered due to supply issues.
