Woolworths Holdings Limited- Summary of the audited group results for the 52 weeks ended 26 June 2022 and cash dividend declaration

  • Turnover grew 1.7% to R80.1 billion.
  • Profit before tax grew 0.8% to R5.2 billion.
  • Adjusted profit before tax grew 11% to R5.1 billion.
  • EPS decreased 11% to 387.4 cents per share.
  • The board has declared a final gross dividend of 149 cents per share, an increase of 125.8%, to be paid on Monday, 19 September 2022.

Capitec Bank Holdings Limited

  • The board has declared a preference share dividend of 343.08 cents per share.

Discovery Limited- Trading statement for the year ended 30 June 2022

  • Basic EPS is expected to be between 793.2 cents and 841.2 cents, representing an increase of between 65% and 75%.

Aspen Pharmacare Holdings Limited- Collaboration agreement

  • Aspen has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Aspen SA Operations (Pty) Limited, has concluded a 10-year agreement, with Serum Institute of India Pvt Ltd, to manufacture, market, and distribute four Aspen-branded routine vaccines in Africa.
  • Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd is the worlds largest vaccine producer.
  • The four vaccines include Pneumococcal Vaccine, Rotavirus Vaccine, Polyvalent Meningococcal Vaccine and Hexavalent Vaccine.

Aspen Pharmacare Holdings Limited- Reviewed Provisional Group Financial Results for the year ended 30 June 2022 and Dividend Declaration

  • Revenue from continuing operations increased by 2% to R38.6 billion.
  • Normalised EBITDA from continuing operations increased by 11% to R11 billion.
  • Normalised HEPS from continuing operations increased by 24% to 1 627.6 cents per share.
  • Aspen also signed a 10-year agreement with the worlds largest vaccine producer.
  • The board has declared a gross dividend of 326 cents per share, up 24%, to be paid on Monday, 26 September 2022.

Mustek Limited- Trading statement for the year ended 30 June 2022

  • Basic EPS is expected to be between 318,40 cents and 360,86 cents, representing a decrease of between 15% and 25%.

  • Snapchat is reportedly planning to lay off about 20% of its employees.

Netflix

  • Netflix has named two Snapchat Executives as Ad Leaders: Ad Age.
  • "Snaps chief business officer Jeremi Gorman and Vice President of Americas Peter Naylor will begin their role in the development of Netflixs global advertising strategy in September".

Crowdstrike earnings

  • EPS of $0.36 beating expectations of $0.27.
  • Revenue of 535.2M beating expectations of $516.44M.

Bed Bath & Beyond

  • Bed Bath & Beyond plans to cut about 20% of its staff including corporate and supply chain employees.

Toyota

  • Toyota has announced an additional investment of $2.5 Billion in its newest North American factory to support battery production for electric vehicles.
