South Africa

Argent Industrial Limited- Audited annual consolidated results for the year ended 31 March 2022

• Revenue grew 23.7% to R2 432 702 000.
• Operating profit grew 39.4% to R264 259 000.
• Profit for the year grew 45.5% to R192 076 000.
• Basic EPS grew 51.9% to 330.0 cents.
• HEPS grew 55.7% to 339.2 cents.
• The board declared a final gross dividend of 42 cents per share to be paid on Monday, 1 August 2022.

Capitec Bank

• Capitec has appointed Grant Hardy as the new CFO and Financial Director effective from 1 July 2022.
• He is replacing André du Plessis who is retiring.

JSE Limited- Trading statement

• HEPS is expected to increase between 24% and 32% to between 520.92 cents and 554.53 cents from 420.1 cents reported in the prior corresponding period
• EPS is expected to increase between 24% and 32% to between 521.05 cents and 554.66 cents from 420.2 cents reported in the prior corresponding period.

• Sony has announced the launch of its new PC gaming equipment brand Inzone.
• The brand's initial lineup will consist of 3 pairs of gaming headphones and 2 gaming monitors.

• Pinterest has announced CEO Ben Silbermann will step down from his role to be replaced by Bill Ready.

Shopify

• Shopify has implemented its 10:1 stock split.

US GDP

• The final revision for US Q1 GDP came in at -1.6%.

Microstrategy

• MicroStrategy has announced that it has bought 480 more Bitcoin at an average price of $20.8K per Bitcoin.
• MicroStrategy now holds 129.7K Bitcoin at an average price of $30.7K per Bitcoin.
