Famous Brands Limited- Interim financial results for the six months ended 31 August 2022

  • Revenue grew 19% to R3.6 billion.
  • EBITDA grew 60% to R515 million.
  • Basic EPS grew 170% to 259 cents per share.

Bytes Technology Group plc- Results for the six months ended 31 August 2022

  • Revenue increased 27.9% to GBP93.5 million.
  • Gross profit grew 23.8% to GBP65.5 million.
  • Operating profit grew 17.7% to GBP27.3 million.
  • EPS grew 17.4% to 9.06 pence per share.

Renergen Limited- Plant update

  • The LNG system is complete, and the LNG exceeds design specifications.
  • The onsite storage tanks and virtual pipeline tankers are full.
  • All components of the helium train are working as designed and have been corrected after the plant was turned off.
  • Renergen connected additional recently drilled wells, which will increase the plants output.
  • The next step is to pressurise the pipeline, prime the utilities and turn on the plant for steady-state production.

Microsoft earnings

  • EPS of $2.35 beating expectations of $2.31.
  • Revenue of $50.1B beating expectations of $49.56B.

Visa earnings

  • EPS of $1.93 beating expectations of $1.87.
  • Revenue of $7.80B beating expectations of $7.57B.
  • Visa increased its quarterly dividend to $0.45 per share up from $0.375.
  • Visa also announced a new $12 Billion share buyback program.

Twitter

  • Elon Musk has notified co-investors to prepare to fund his $44 billion purchase of Twitter by as early as Friday.

Exxon Mobil

  • Exxon Mobil has made two new oil discoveries offshore in Guyana.
