- Due to KZN floods, Sasol has declared force majeure (unable to fulfil contracts) on the export of certain chemical products. This could affect their Q4 volume outlook.
- The volatility in energy prices, as a result of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, will also pose risks to sales volumes and margins during the last quarter of 2022.
PSG GROUP
- Sum-Of-The-Parts value increased 36% to R127.88 a share
- PSG Konsult reported a 32% increase in recurring HEPS
- Curro reported an 8% increase in recurring HEPS
- Zeder declared a special dividend of 92.5 cents per share
Coca-Cola
- Quarterly EPS of $0.64, beating analyst estimates of $0.58.
- Quarterly revenue up 16.7% year-over-year.
Anglo American PLC
- Share price have dropped as much as 7.8% following the news that the Environmental Assessment Service of Chile has recommended that the permitting application for the Los Bronces integrated project be rejected due to lack of information.
Kraken
- Kraken, a major U.S.-based crypto exchange, is expanding into the Middle East and will open its regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
Activision Blizzard Inc
- Net Revenue decline of 22.3% year-on-year to $1.77 billion
- Product sales decline of 42.8% year-on-year to $386 million
- In-game, subscription and other revenues decreased 13.6% year-on-year to $1.38 billion.
- Monthly Active Users 372 million versus 435 million a year ago.
- Microsoft looks to acquire Activision Blizzard for $95.00 per share in an all-cash transaction.
