Purple Group
- Purple Group have announced that EasyEquities have partnered with an E-wallet provider in the Asia Pacific region.
- EasyEquities will reportedly launch investing services within the E-wallet application.
- The E-wallet provider consists of tens of millions of users.
Standard Bank Group - Results announcement for the six months ended 30 June 2022
- Total income grew 11% to R71 909 million.
- Headline earnings grew 33% to R15 263 million.
- EPS grew 34% to 961.4 cents per share.
- ROE grew from 12.9% to 15.3%.
- The board have declared an interim gross dividend of 515 cents per share payable by Monday, 12 September 2022.
Prosus N.V. & Naspers Limited
- Prosus (Majority owned by Naspers) have entered into an agreement to acquire the remaining 33% stake in iFood Holdings B.V. for 1.5bn in cash.
Spur Corporation Limited- Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 30 June
- Group revenue grew 32.5% to R2.4 billion.
- Profit before income tax grew by 41.9% to R209.7 million.
- HEPS grew by 31.0% to 144.22 cents.
- The board declared a final gross dividend of 78 cents per share payable by Monday, 19 September 2022.
 
The U.S.
Paramount
- Paramount has agreed to pay $1.5 Billion to keep the rights to the Champions League in the US beating out companies like Amazon.
- Google-owned YouTube Shorts will now have a watermark on the videos so if its shared elsewhere users will know the platform where it came.
General Motors
- General Motors reinstated its quarterly dividend for the first time since April 2020.
- General Motors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.09 per share.
- They also announced it will resume its share buyback program increasing the size of the program to $5B up from $3.3B.
Deere earnings
- EPS of $6.16 missing expectations of $6.69.
- Revenue of $14.10B beating expectations of $12.78B.
