Load shedding crisis
- Over the past week, Eskom has used an enormous amount of diesel as well as emergency measures to keep the lights on. 
- Eskom says the power system continues to be fragile and unpredictable, and warns that any further deterioration in generation capacity may require higher stages of load shedding
Amazon
- Amazon will be conducting a racial equity audit, to support and increase diversity in the workplace. 
- The proposed audit is in response to pressure from shareholders, who are opposing Amazons alleged practice of putting the lives of workers of colour at risk in its warehouses.
- Amazon has asked shareholders to reject this proposal and instead they will increase the current efforts underway at the company to ensure racial diversity and equality.
Twitter
- Buyout firm, Apollo Global Management, has come to Elon Musks aid and has expressed interest in financing the deal to take Twitter private.
