South Africa

Anglo American

Anglo American has announced the first production of copper concentrate from its Quellaveco project in Peru.
Quellaveco nears completion ahead of receiving final regulatory clearance for commercial operations to begin.
Quellaveco alone will increase the whole of Perus copper production by around 10%.

Lewis Group

At the AGM in October 2021, shareholders granted the company authority to repurchase shares of up to 10% of Lewis Groups issued share capital.
The Board has fully utilised the AGM General Repurchase Authority.

The U.S.

Starbucks

Starbucks has announced its closing of 16 stores after workers reported drug use by members of the public and crime concerns.

Disney

Marvel Studio movies have now grossed more than $26 Billion at the box office since Disney acquired the company back in 2009.
Disney acquired Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion.

Amazon

Amazon is reportedly working on Cancer vaccines with Fred Hutchinson.
Amazon and Fred Hutchinson are reportedly currently recruiting patients for a clinical trial.

Rivian

Rivian plans to cut about 5% of its workforce.
The planned layoffs are reportedly focused on nonmanufacturing roles.

Spotify

Spotify has announced it has agreed to acquire music trivia game Heardle.

Microsoft

Microsoft says it has cut less than 1% of its global workforce.
The cuts are a part of a structural adjustment with Microsoft reportedly planning more hiring.
