FinMeUp Transparency Portfolio
With the launch of the brand new FinMeUp app, we are also introducing the FinMeUp Transparency Portfolio. In this project, we will systematically build and update our very own FinMeUp portfolio, consisting of SA stocks, US stocks, and cryptocurrency.

Why the Transparency Portfolio? Because it aligns with our mission, which is to clear the way to financial independence for our community. We believe the best way to illustrate our mission is to be transparent in our research, track results, and of course, put our money where our mouth is.

A great company is not always a great investment - It all depends on the valuation versus the current price. So, in addition to our transparency portfolio, we will include a watchlist. This watchlist will consist of companies that we like but are trading at a price thats just a little bit too high for our taste. We will keep a close eye on these stocks and wait for better entry prices.

Alphabet is the parent company of Google and several former Google subsidiaries, such as YouTube and Looker. Alphabet basically owns the internet, and as we all know, the internet isnt going anywhere. We believe in Alphabets ability to adapt to the ever-changing world of online infrastructure.

Amazon is a multinational technology company that focuses on e-commerce. Were including Amazon as a defensive pick in our portfolio, as the company is already a well-established, blue-chip stock. We believe in the companys longevity as they are one of the best brand names in the world and are operating in an industry that still has ample room for growth. 

AMD is a multinational semiconductor company. Simply put, we believe in the future potential of the industry, we believe in the company, and we back the management to pull it off. 

Meta is a social media powerhouse. The company is the parent organization of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, among others. Meta has experienced quite a dump recently and therefore offers investors a big opportunity if they believe in the future success of the business. We believe in social media, and we believe Meta has a good chance to make its mark in the future of the industry, known as the metaverse. 

Palantir is a software company that specializes in big data analytics. As we know, data is everything in the 21st century. Palantir started as a company that only served government clients, but has recently shown immense growth in the commercial side of the business. Although we dont know much about the software (as this is the IP of the business), we do know the results of companies that have used the product. The proof is in the pudding. 

Roblox is an online game platform and game creation system that allows users to program games and play games created by other users. The potential of this industry is massive.  Its our play on the future of gamification and virtual world-building. 

SoFi is an American online personal finance company. SoFi (short for Social Finance) offers a user-friendly, all-included finance platform. Were taking a bet on Sofi to disrupt the finance industry. Can you have an app that does everything for you, from insurance to loans, to taxes, to investing in stocks and crypto? Sofi aims to make this a reality. Their customer base and revenues are growing at a very impressive rate, and we believe the management will keep driving it forward.

We plan to release an in-depth analysis via the stock pick section of the app for each of the companies mentioned in this article. We will provide you with buy positions, as well as exit positions if we believe the asset has reached its fair value.
